Anime When the lockdown due to the pandemic began in 2020, I was bored and with a lot of free time; One day I started watching anime on the recommendation of a friend and I couldn't stop watching it. Yes, when people say that anime is exaggerated and often silly, they are absolutely right, however, there are other times they are wrong. There are anime of many different genres, so there is something for everyone. There is anime aimed at children, as well as anime with deeper and adult themes. My recommendations are if one day you are bored and want to watch something as a family or something light, watch any movie from the studio ghibli, my favorite one is Howl's Moving Castle. If someday you want to watch something funny to hang out I recommend you take a look at Spy x family, one of my favorite series. If you want to see something romantic, you could see Your name or if you have more time, Kimi ni todoke is a perfect option. If you're interested in denser subjects, you def...

Education

What advice would you give a high school student who is about to go to college? Last year I was faced with the difficult decision of choosing a career; luckily my parents have always supported me and let me be free to make my own decisions, so when I realized I wanted to study design, they were the first to support me with my decision and encourage me to achieve my goal, however, not everyone has the same luck as me. I will tell you the story of a close friend: This friend was in the same situation as me. He liked everything related to cooking since he was a child, so his career decision was gastronomy, however, when he told his parents, they didn't support him because "gastronomy is not a career that pays money", so they encouraged him to study engineering because this would "ensure his future". My friend followed his parents' advice and went into an engineering degree, in which he lasted a year because it clearly wasn't his thing. He finally abandoned ...

Religion

My position on religion I come from a Catholic family by upbringing, however, they were never very very tied to this, by this I mean that they were not people who went to church or who had a very deep relationship with Catholicism, so, even though when I was little I was educated with this ideology indirectly, I was never forced to follow it; My parents gave me a lot of freedom in this regard. When I was eleven, I decided on my own to make first communion, and it was at twelve that I finally did, but immediately after this, for some strange reason, I began to question the existence of god quite a bit. Was the existence of an all-powerful being really possible? and if it existed, why would he only want to punish us for our actions? To this day, my thought is that there is probably a god, but I definitely don't think it's as it is described by any of the existing religions. I believe that religions, especially their churches, forbid you to be yourself and somehow tie you to makin...

Healthcare system in Chile

What do you think of the health service in our country? In Chile, the health service it's composed of a mixed system, the public service called FONASA, and a private one called ISAPRE. Chilean health has the technology, the resources and the professionals to be good, however, the problem is not there, but in the great gap that exists between public and private health. The private system is pretty good, fast, and most users are satisfied, meanwhile, the public system it’s too slow and unworthy, to the point that many people die waiting for operations, in addition to this, resources are misused. Unfortunately in Chile to access good health you must have monetary resources, otherwise, people die waiting to receive treatment; that's why I think health in Chile is bad. In conclusion, the big problem of Chilean health is not found in the lack of resources or lack of medical material to heal people, but it’s located principally in a social problem, the social inequality that we have t...

Politics

Why do you think voting it's important? Since I was little, my parents told me about how important democracy and voting were, however, it wasn't until my teens that I really understood it; Voting it’s one of the most important pillars of the society, since it is with the votes that we can represent our ideals and contribute to a better life in community. For me, the vote is the only way we have to advance as a society, as well as being a fair way to raise our voice against our governments and fight for what we believe. When people don’t vote, governments are less representative, so we get stuck and don’t achieve the changes that we believe are necessary to improve. Each election process is an opportunity that we have to change our society, just by marking a paper with a line; that’s why I always urge my friends and family to vote informed. Voting is a right that we must always protect and claim.
